Credo Reference and EasyBib join forces to simplify student research

16 March 2010

Credo Reference, the award winning online reference library, is pleased to announce a partnership with EasyBib.com to simplify the student’s research process.

With all the databases, web sites and print sources available, compiling research, writing a paper and citing resources can be difficult and time-consuming for many students. The new partnership between EasyBib and Credo makes the process easier. Students can research their topic using Credo Reference and its innovative gateways to other library resources, and, with just one click, they can keep track of their bibliographic data during the research process, instead of waiting until the end to compile their bibliography.

“EasyBib provides citation formatting tools to over 16 million students yearly,” commented Darshan Somashekar, EasyBib CEO. “Unlike reference managers that are geared toward higher level university students, EasyBib’s intuitive design requires no learning curve and generates accurate bibliographies covering over 55 different source types. EasyBib is designed to be simple yet comprehensive, making it the most popular bibliography tool amongst students.”

“We’re very pleased to partner with Credo Reference,” he added. “Our services complement each other so naturally, solving two of the biggest problems students face: conceiving and researching a topic, and organizing citation information throughout the research process. By making the entire process easier, students can now spend more time on the heart of research, gathering information and making connections needed to support and build upon their thesis.”

“We’re delighted with this exciting new partnership,” commented Michael Sweet, Credo CEO. “Not only is it another step towards making Credo more discoverable to the millions of students already using EasyBib, but it also creates value at the library by bridging the gap that often exists between today’s users and the library resources available to them.”

“Librarians have long-valued Credo’s breadth and depth of content, our intuitive interface and our ability to provide students with the context and vocabulary to begin their research process. Now libraries will be able to subscribe to an easy-to-use bibliography tool, giving their students not only the content they need, but the tools they want to complete their research.”
