Mike Sweet, chief executive officer Mike Sweet brings a broad set of business skills to his role at Credo Reference. Prior to becoming CEO, he served as the company’s CFO from 2006 to 2008. Mike came to Credo Reference from CoreWeb, a software development and consulting company focused on building web-based applications. At CoreWeb, Mike served as both the CFO and COO, with responsibility for the financial management of the firm and oversight of all client engagements, from planning through implementation and launch. Before that, he spent seven years as a consultant and new business development manager at Global Insight, a firm that provides Fortune 500 companies with business planning tools for market segmentation analysis, and strategy. Mike earned his MBA, with a focus on finance and entrepreneurship, from Babson College.
John G. Dove, president John G. Dove has extensive experience in technology businesses including electronic publishing and online education. In 1968 he joined a start up on Wall Street that produced the first end-user accessible online database of stock market information. In the early 90s he was on the executive team of a Boston area consulting firm, Symmetrix, which was instrumental in building learning organizations and electronic performance support systems to back them up. Subsequently, he was president and COO of Silverplatter, a supplier of electronic and online bibliographic information to research libraries worldwide. In year 2000, John was COO of GlobaLearn, a company which deployed investigative reporters and photographers to travel the world on behalf of (and wired into) social studies classrooms. GlobaLearn was purchased by an arm of Houghton-Mifflin. Immediately prior to joining Credo Reference in 2003, John worked with the Executive Education on E-Government project at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.
Albert L. Stevens, chief technology officer
Al Stevens has been involved in developing, integrating and deploying human-centered information systems, user-friendly applications and visualization software for nearly 30 years. He started his career at Bolt, Beranek and Newman, where he was senior scientist and director of the company's Artificial Intelligence, Education Technology and Training Systems Division. He was most recently president of Kaon Interactive, where he managed the development of XML-based product presentation and interactive, online project delivery systems. Al has a PhD in Cognitive Science from the University of California at San Diego, where his advisor was Donald A. Norman, one of the world's foremost authorities on human-based design of computer systems.
Jill Rosa, vice president of operations Jill Rosa has a passion for utilizing her financial, operational, and people skills to help build successful companies. She has experience in multiple industries (banking, retail, and software development) working with public, private and start-up companies. Jill joined Credo in 2004 as Director of Finance and Operations and since then has been instrumental in implementing several key initiatives to improve operational effectiveness and enhance customer service. Before starting at Credo Jill consulted for two woman-owned businesses that focused on ergonomic educational supplies for K-12 students and outdoor, street level advertising, respectively. Jill has a BS from Boston College with a focus on general management and philosophy and earned her MBA, with a focus on entrepreneurship, from Boston University.
