Credo Webinar: Building Successful Faculty Engagement Programs

February 29, 2016, Boston, Oxford – Credo, the industry leader for information literacy, critical thinking, and research solutions, will host a free webinar, "Building Successful Faculty Engagement Programs", on Tuesday, March 22 at 3:30 PM EDT. Librarians and administrators will discuss proven strategies for cultivating relationships with faculty that will benefit all parties while increasing awareness and involvement in library instruction, departmental collection development, and more.

"Faculty collaboration benefits the entire campus community, but it can often be — initially at least — a hard, one-way process," commented the webinar moderator, Credo's Chief Content Officer, Ian Singer. "Our panelists will present real world examples to demonstrate successful strategies for cultivating faculty engagement that can be employed at any college or university."

The outcomes of faculty engagement can be measured in many ways, but the cornerstone for librarians is how these efforts entrench the value of librarianship in support of learning with students, faculty, and administrators. Panelists will show how these programs make faculty more willing to bring courses for library instruction, and more enthusiastic about piloting new library services.

Panelists include Rebecca Donlan, Assistant Director for Collection Management at Florida Gulf Coast University Library, Jennifer Hill, Distance Education Librarian/Electronic Resources Manager at Excelsior College Library, Nicole Romyak, Academic Programs Librarian at Horry Georgetown Technical College (HGTC), and Chris Williams, Reference and Instructional Librarian and Coordinator of Reference Services at HGTC.
