WorldCat Content Coming to Credo General Reference Service

OCLC and Credo Reference announced that they signed an agreement to integrate the WorldCat Search API into the Credo General Reference service, its flagship content application. With this new agreement, OCLC member libraries that subscribe to the Credo General Reference service will be able to retrieve a list of books from WorldCat related to the topic of their Credo Reference search.  Read the whole article at infotoday.com

ALA Annual 2011: Independent publishers' group gains advice, new name

Karl-Heinz Roseman of McFarland hosted vendors LibraryThing and OverDrive Friday at a meeting of the Independent Reference Publishers Group's (IRPG) during the American Library Association's annual conference in New Orleans.

Representatives from Credo ReferenceNeal-Schuman, and Salem Publishing, among others, gathered to discuss the results of the group's last annual survey and to gain publicity and sales advice from the vendors.

Library Journal: Deals with Discovery Services Enhance Credo's Visibility

Over the past six months, Credo Reference, an online reference library, has been steadily striking deals with the major discovery services.

It began on January 6, just before the opening of the ALA Midwinter Conference in San Diego, when Serials Solutions, a business unit of ProQuest, announced that content from Credo's General Reference and Topic Pages would be indexed on the Summon discovery service.
