Instructional Design & Library Specialist

Department: Customer Solutions

Reports to: Senior Instructional Design & Library Specialist

Status: Full-time/Exempt

Credo is seeking an Instructional Design & Library Specialist to join the Customer Solutions team.  This individual will consult, create materials, and provide support services in instructional design, strategies, assessment, technology and e-learning for instructional design projects.  The LIS will also play a key role in the development of case studies and sustainable research models for Credo and our subscribers.  The ideal candidate has the skill set of a librarian with the instructional designer's ability to apply instructional technology appropriately into the teaching and learning process.  In addition, the LIS would have knowledge of current theory, practices and issues related to information skills instruction.  Familiarity with learning management systems and related technologies is a plus.

About the Job:

  • Assist the Senior Instructional Design & Library Specialist with case studies in collaboration with Credo customers, document special projects and prepare customer materials for accreditation and strategic plans.
  • Conduct literature reviews and original research in close collaboration with the Customer Solutions team and subscribers.
  • Assist in all QA work for materials created by the Customer Solutions team, ensuring high quality products.
  • Develop learning outcomes, outlines, storyboards and learning objects in close cooperation with the rest of the Customer Solutions Team.
  • Explore emerging trends in education technology, assessment and pedagogical practices.
  • Work with team to formulate, implement and analyze assessments to measure success of learning outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts (librarians, teachers, IT professionals and faculty members) to define project scope and objectives.
  • Supervise and mentor interns.
  • Represent Credo in customer meetings, document meeting outcomes, and coordinate all internal and external follow-ups in support of the project requirements.
  • Document all system changes necessary to meet the project requirements.
  • Attend relevant conferences and network with current and potential subscribers.
